About Us

The de la Motte family has been fabricating counter surfaces since 1954! Starting in Turlock Ca., in what was formally the Olive Street Plaining Mill. Eventually the business became Artcraft Industries. In the late 60’s and early 70’s Glenn de la Motte started servicing the Mother Lode area with custom made laminate counters. Along with his son Matt they sold their interest in Artcraft and open a business in Sonora in 1980. Allcove Kitchens and Baths. After Glenn retired Matt and Susie changed the name to Allcove Inc.

It’s hard to believe that the de la Motte’s has been fabricating Solid Surface material since 1969. They were some of the first fabricators of Du Pont Corian in the state. From there to new post-forming equipment to a new stone cnc machine.

It was inevitable that more exciting surfacing products would follow. Boy have they! Quartz surfaces from around the world. Stone slabs from the far reaches. “Green” counter products. etc..

We are proud of our roots in the Mother Lode and continue to support local schools and service clubs. One of Susie’s favorite charities is Sober Grad. Not only does Allcove Inc. give donations to both Sonora and Summerville High Schools but Susie served a number of years on the Sonora High School’s Sober Grad committee. Matt on the other hand coached both his son’s and daughter’s soccer teams for 8 years and also his son’s little league teams. Allcove is one of the oldest sponcer of Tuolumne Youth Soccer. Matt also served on Sonora High Schools long term planning committee. And the list goes on.. Rotary Interact, Kiwanis, Summerville H.S. Baseball, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s posse, Columbia College, Sierra Repertory Theater, etc….

Our underlying philosophy is to give and support locally! Give back to the community that has supported us for over 53 years.

Thank You all for your business!!! We really appreciate it!

P.S. We’ll see you at Dodge!

P.P.S. Matt’s gone on Powder Day’s. Shhhhhh
